SALT is a group of parishioners who are interested and enthusiastic about supporting, promoting, and enabling
the spiritual growth opportunities for adults in Assumption BVM parish. Initially begun as the Core Team of Renew 2000
with its focus on establishing and continuing the small faith sharing groups, this group eventually evolved to expanding its
focus to include other aspects of spiritual growth.
SALT meets bi-monthly or as needed, to discuss, evaluate, explore, highlight and plan the spiritual growth needs of the parish.
This is SALT's way of supporting the Parish Staff and Parish Visioning Plan in the realization of our Parish Mission
Statement.
We are always open to new members and invite your questions, comments and suggestions
COME AND JOURNEY WITH US! Assumption parish offers a weekend retreat experience
annually. This year's weekend is to be held at the St. Francis Center for Renewal on Bridle Path Road in Bethlehem. It
will begin with a departure from ABVM campus about 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening, March 6th, 2009 and will end with a return to
the parish about 5:00 PM on Sunday evening, March 8th. Although this is not a couple's retreat as such, spouses can room
together. The weekend is designed to bring everyone on the retreat, both the retreatants and the retreat team, closer to our
God and to each other. Our pastor, Monsignor John Martin, joins us for this spirit and fun filled weekend journey. Please
consider being a companion with us for this weekend. Our servant leaders for this year's retreat are Sandy Zengion and Tom
Justin. Contact information is printed in the church bulletin several weeks prior to the retreat and sign-up forms will be
available in the church at that time.
Come and see the many wonderful books and other resources our Parish Library has to offer.
