The profile of this ministry emerges as
one which expresses the love of God to every person. Its inspiring
model is the "Greatest Love" ~ Jesus who on the cross gave the
greatest proof of His love. Its objective is a holistic formation
of the heart. The process involves instructing, forming and
enabling persons through the modalities of formal and informal
education. |
In seeking to rediscover Magdalene's
insights in today's context, this ministry emphasizes 3 dimensions:
- the human-spiritual dimension which focuses
on the individual - respecting the person's dignity as a unique child of God and fostering
an awareness of his/her human and spiritual dimensions.
- the social dimension, with an option for the
least previliged, the negelected.
- the vocational-pastoral dimension through an
educative community which maintains an on-going dialogue with the family, other
educational, ecclesial and social bodies.
The Canossian educator
seeks to express this through a delicate blending of amiablity and firmness, familiarity
and respect, gratuitousness and joy. |
