Blessing of SJH Building Extension

The blessing of the new St Joseph's Home building extension took place on 21st October 2002 on new grounds.  To mark off this happy occasion, His Grace, Archbishop Nicholas Chia was cordially invited to officiate the blessing of the extension building with a simple yet meaningful thanksgiving prayer service.  A good number of Religious, staff and invited guests witnessed this joyful event.

Staff and distinguished guests were given the opportunity to view and admire the five-storey high extension building and the facilities available there.  These included a physiotherapy department, a conference room and a dormitory for our foreign nurses.  The dormitory was well furnished with a living room for relaxation and interaction and equipped with laundry facilities.

St Joseph's Home has been truly blessed with God's continuous providence through the years.  We have every reason to feel thankful and grateful to God for the gift of this extension building which is a house of blessing and a centre of love where doctors, nurses, health professionals, care givers and volunteers dedicate themselves and work tirelessly in the service of God and the sick whom they serve.

The Joyful event concluded with an evening buffet dinner for staff, guests and for those who by their work and contributions, helped to build this extension, all of whom, needless to say experienced this fulfilling and memorable occasion.
