| Dear
Children, Parents and Friends, Miss Goh and Teachers,
It is a great pleasure for me
to be here this afternoon for the Annual Concert and Graduation
Ceremony 2002 of Magdalene's Kindergarten.
Congratulations children for
the lively and enjoyable performance! Thank you Miss Goh and
teachers for all the hard work put into the formation and training
of the children.
This Kindergarten is named
after St Magdalene of Canossa, our Mother Foundress and is therefore
very dear to her heart.
True to the tradition and
spirit of our Canossian Schools and Kindergartens, we focus on the
formation of the hearts of these little ones.
We not only teach them ABC but
above all teach them to love. Our Sisters and teachers
inculcate the values of kindness, gentleness, goodness, forgiveness,
mutual acceptance and respect, harmony and generosity in our
teaching. This is particularly important today as the world is
terrorized by fear and insecurity.
St Magdalene compares the
school to a garden where seeds are sown and where the gardeners take
very good care of the little plants so that they may grow and many
beautiful flowers of different kinds and colours may bloom.
Magdalene's Kindergarten is one such garden and we are here today to
admire the variety of lovely flowers that have blossomed under the
patient and loving care of dedicated team of the principal, teachers
and support staff.
I ask God to bless all our
children and their families, in a very special way the children of
the Graduation classes.
Congratulations
children! We are so proud of you!
A very big "THANK
YOU" once again to all the teachers for all that you have done!
God bless you parents, for
your collaboration and support during the past year!
Sr Janet Wang
