Our annual fellowship was this year, held at LifeSprings Retreat House.  It began on May 1st at 5pm with a welcome briefing from Sr. Janet Wang, Provincial Superior, and Sr. Angela Ng, Provincial Councillor.

Sr. Janet briefed us on the General Chapter happenings and reiterated on the importance of revitalizing the Lay Canossian Movement.  Sr. Rosalia Yeo followed-up with a session on "Consecration as an experience of faithful love".  She highlighted that consecrated life was a call to know that one is deeply loved and to generously share that love with others.  For the rest of the day we reflected on our love and personal relationship with Jesus.

On the second day we were introduced to our lay facilitator, Mr Edgar Goh, who taught us how to connect our heart to the heart of Jesus in Cardio Contemplation.  We experienced harmony and joy as Edgar elaborated how the power and presence of God could be manifested through science.  Later, Sr. Rosalia showed us through diagrams and play-acts, how people, situations and experiences could be perceived differently, producing different images, opinions and judgments.  In the evening, we celebrated the Feast of St. Magdalene with a para-liturgy and inevitably, a sumptuous meal.

The third day began with a morning stroll to Bukit Batok Park and then sessions on "The Pearl - Our Canossian Charism" which reiterated our vocation to be consecrated lay Canossians.  We recognized that our consecration as lay Canossians was the precious pearl that God has given us.  We also spent some time reflecting on the questions, "What is God inviting me to Be and Do at this time in my life?  Are there fears that hold me back?  How can we overcome these fears?  What were the joys we experience?"

These enriching, grace-filled days came to a close with Vespers where we praised and thanked God for this experience.  This 'conclusion' was made more significant as we had tea with Sr. Marilyn Lim and we wished her God's bountiful blessings and graces for her new mandate in Rome.
