Sharing in the Pascal Mystery of Christ
Sr. Elizabeth Yeo was accompanied back to Singapore on 13 May by Sr. Violetta from the hospital in Jakarta and was brought directly from the airport to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. After examination and treatment, the doctors did not find it advisable for her to undergo a second operation, as it would be highly risky. She was transferred to Ang Mo Kio Community Hospital for physiotherapy treatment. Sr. Elizabeth continues to be serene and optimistic even though she has no sensation in the lower part of her body.

Sr. Bruna Bossi returned to Singapore on 4 June after having been away for 31 years in the mission of the Philippines. Sr. Bruna is happy to be back in Singapore as she hopes to have the time to write down the very rich experiences she has of her life in Italy, Singapore and the Philippines. We, and all her past-pupils are also very happy to have her back with us.
However, suddenly on 11 June, while she was at evening prayer with the community, Sr. Bruna suffered a stroke. The ambulance was called immediately and she was rushed to hospital. Her condition was closely monitored and we are happy that with her strong will and optimistic nature and proper physiotherapy treatment, she has been improving day by day.  Upon discharge on 21 June, Sr. Bruna was welcomed in St. Joseph's Home for rehabilitation.

Sr. Maria Redaelli, who is suffering from brain tumour, is being very lovingly cared for by the Sisters and staff of St. Joseph's Home. Many of her friends drop in to visit her besides Sisters from the various communities of Singapore and Malaysia. Her relatives in Italy phone regularly to wish her and to enquire about her condition.
We are all edified by her sweet smile and serene acceptance of her condition.

Sr. Maria Teresa Rizzetti was hospitalized for chest infection on 19 June and is receiving treatment. She is feeling very weak.

Sr. Vittorina Lamperti slipped in her room and fractured her left wrist.

The presence of these Sisters in our Province is a special grace and blessing for us. Their experience of sharing in the Paschal Mystery of Jesus is a reminder to us of the salvific nature of suffering. Their serenity and peace are the expression of a strong and deep faith in God.

Thank you Sisters for showing us that "Being" is more important than "Doing." Together with you, we want to renew our faith and trust in the Father who cares for us, in Jesus who has shown us that the Cross leads to the Resurrection, in the Holy Spirit who sustains us with strength and consolation in this life and hope in the Life to come.

Let us continue to pray for them and for the other relatives and friends who are sick:

Sr. Lucia Chan's father, Sr. Anne Tan's sister Jessica, Fr. Frank Depoorter, and all those who have asked for our prayers.
