Corpus Christi Catholic School
Annual Giving Campaign 2010

OurMission
The mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School is to provide a Catholic educational experience in spirituality, scholarship and service. We challenge our children to grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically. By integrating Gospel values, we promote the practice of the faith, nurture worship, community and service. We inspire our students to become life-long learners and confident witnesses of Jesus.

Every student receives approximately a 30% tuition discount from the actual cost to educate a child. Therefore, the average tuition gap is about $2,500 per student.

Even with that discount, many of our school families struggle financially to keep their children in our school, and many others only dream of the opportunity to have their children attend.

Together, through this 2010 Annual Giving Campaign we can:

  • Help bridge the gap in tuition
  • Keep tuition costs reasonable
  • Assist families in need
  • Fill our school with students desiring a Catholic education

OurPurpose
Our Annual Giving Campaign benefits the entire Corpus Christi community. Without the support of our school families, alumni, parishioners and friends, Corpus Christi Catholic School would not be able to provide the Catholic formation and education our youth need and desire. Support and active participation in our campaign enables us to continue the mission of providing a Catholic education that strengthens our community today and fosters engaged children and adults for our Church of tomorrow.

Bridge the Gap...Foster Our Commitment to Excellence
Your donation enables CCCS to educate children and foster their desire for learning, for service, for worship, and for thanksgiving. Your contribution to the 2010 Annual Giving Campaign will be used to:

  • Maintain our commitment to a quality education program
  • Continue to provide Spanish, technology, music and art instruction
  • Provide tuition assistance for families in need
  • Retain highly qualified teachers with competitive salaries

Tuition provides about 70% of the cost to educate a child at CCCS. The remaining 30%, i.e., the "gap," comes from a parish subsidy, Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) support, and fundraising. This Annual Giving Campaign enables CCCS to Bridge the Gap.

Our Success
Corpus Christi Catholic School proudly has more than 1,000 alumni spreading their goodwill throughout the world. We need your help to fill every seat and enable our youth in grades Pre-K through eight to experience the many benefits of a CCCS education.

CCCS is dedicated to excellence in the classroom and in all aspects of student development. These are some indicators of the school's success:

  • Standardized (ITBS) test scores are above Diocesan and state averages
  • CCCS graduates excel at Tampa Catholic, Jesuit, Academy of the Holy Names and Bishop McLaughlin High Schools and International Baccalaureate programs
  • CCCS graduates routinely garner academic scholarships from institutions of higher learning
  • Middle school students contribute community service hours to America's Second Harvest, Caminiti Exceptional Center, Metropolitan Ministries, and many other organizations
  • The student body supports parish missions, especially our twinning parish in Haiti, by sharing their time, talent and treasure
  • Alumni are actively involved in the success of our shcool
  • Many alumni invest in CCCS by choosing it for the education of their own children

Why Donate?
How will the Annual Giving Campaign help our school?
It will allow the school to operate effectively and continue providing services without reductions in programs or staff, and will play a critical role in making up the gap in funding needed to educate each child and keep tuition reasonable. A donation of $2,500 bridges the gap for one student.

How much should I give?
While no gift is too large, neither is a gift too small. Our goal is to achieve 100% participation from our current school families, plus generous support from parishioners, alumni, relatives, friends, businesses and others in our community. We hope donors will make this campaign one of their top philanthropic priorities. Possible donor categories are listed on the donor card. Honorary and memorial gifts require a minimum donation of $250.

Are there tax advantages to making a donation to the Annual Giving Campaign?
Gifts to the Annual Giving Campaign are for the school, a not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) organization under the Federal IRS code. Donations to this campaign are tax deductible. A receipt will be provided to each donor.

Will I receive public recognition for my gift?
Your name and contribution will be noted in our annual Honor Roll of Donors. You also may request to remain anonymous.

Why should I contribute to the school when I have no children or they have already graduated?
Catholic education is a mission of our Church. All of us are called to participate in that mission. It is our responsibility to teach our youth to serve and love others as Jesus did and to form strong young men and women to lead our Church and parish into a future full of promise. This is not only our responsibility as Catholics, but also our legacy.
