Rosary Patch Series (Pray the Rosary)

Overview

The Rosary Patch Series focuses on the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary and Pray the Rosary. This is an opportunity for youth and adults to learn more about their faith. All youths and adults can work on this activity and earn the patch.

See the following link for a Lesson Plan on how to put on the “Rosary Patch Activities”. A scout leader developed this Lesson Plan for the Diocese of Nashville. You may find this very helpful for the youth 1st thru 5th grade.

Requirements for 1st through 5th grade

1) Say “The Apostles Creed” prayer
2) Memorize “The Our Father” prayer
3) Memorize “The Hail Mary” prayer
4) Memorize the “Glory be to the Father” prayer
5) Say “The Hail, Holy Queen” prayer
6) Say “ Fatima Prayers”
7) Say “St. Michael Prayer”
8) Pray the Rosary by doing one of the following:

- 5-Decade Joyful Mysteries
- 5-Decade Luminous Mysteries
- 5-Decade Sorrowful Mysteries
- 5-Decade Glorious Mysteries

Requirements for 6th through 12th grade and Adults

1) Memorize “The Apostles Creed” prayer
2) Memorize “The Our Father” prayer
3) Memorize “The Hail Mary” prayer
4) Memorize the “Glory be to the Father” prayer
5) Memorize “The Hail, Holy Queen” prayer
6) Say “ Fatima Prayers” and “St. Michael Prayer”
7) Memorize each of the mysteries.
8) Pray the full 20-Decade Rosary

Application Form

It is not necessary to return the question and answers for every child. It is only necessary for a parent or leader to check and make sure that the work has been done.
