Additional Features on the List

Beginning January 27, 2001, the ECCCLC mailing list operates in the Yahoo! Groups Community (http://groups.yahoo.com). Not only does it provide a free mailing list service, Yahoo! Groups also comes with many useful features that comes with a standard mailing list service (as listed below).

You can join ECCCLC mailing list with any e-mail address and you can access some of these extra features. However you need to have a Yahoo! e-mail address before you can use all these extra features. These features can be accessed by going to the Yahoo! Groups web page (http://groups.yahoo.com) and logging in with your Yahoo! e-mail address and password.

A) Support of an additional e-mail address for each subscriber (Access through Yahoo! Groups website only)

This is a very useful feature and it allows you to send message to the list from an e-mail addresses other than the one you registered. This is ideal when members have one work address and one home address, and he/she would like to send mail to the list during work, but his/her registered address is the home address.

B) Message Archive (Access through Yahoo! Groups website only)

You can always retrieve previous mails sent to the list on the Yahoo! Groups account.

C) Digest Mail / NO Mail option (Access through Yahoo! Groups website or E-mail)

Now you can control the flow of mails from the list to your account! With Digest Mail feature enables, you will only receive one message including all the mails that are sent on that day. NO Mail feature is good if you don't want to receive mails for a while (i.e. vacation). Subscribers can then login to their Egroups accounts and check the message archives for previous messages.

To activate digest mail subscription through e-mail, please send a mail to:

To activate NO Mail option through e-mail, please send a mail to:
(eccclc-nomail@yahoogroups.com)

To reactivate individual mail subscription through e-mail, please send a mail to:
(eccclc-normal@yahoogroups.com)

With Yahoo! Groups subscribers are given more options to change their subscribing status on the list. If you have to change your subscribing address (i.e. due to changes in school terms), you can do this directly in your Yahoo! Groups account and you don't have to delete your account and re-create one. Nevertheless, you can always send mail to the maintainers regarding any questions/changes to the list (eccclc-owner@yahoogroups.com).
