Thank you Fr. Lawrence for sharing with us.
On 9—10 August 2008, Fr. Lawrence Mbogo presented his appeal on behalf of the immense Diocese of Nakuru in Kenya. This year, parishioners of Guardian Angels Church contributed $3,154 to this appeal. Our response will assist in the ponderous task of offering medical care, spiritual care, and food to our sisters and brothers in the church of Nakuru.
Fr. Lawrence also shared with us the work that is being done on a special project that is dear to him, the building of St. Peters Secondary Boarding School for girls in the Baringo District in Western Kenya. St. Peter's offers these young women, education, skills, visions, and life choices that they would not have at home in their vilages. Below are some pictures of St. Peter's School.

As of now, there are over 200 young women at St. Peter's School and it costs $400 per year to educate each one. Please keep them in your prayers. If you feel moved to contribute to their education, please contact the Guardian Angels Parish office for more details—by phone at 585-334-1412 or via e-mail at rguardia@dor.org.
