Becoming a Catholic Christian

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) provides a journey in the discovery of Roman Catholicism. You are warmly invited to become a member of the RCIA process

  • if you have never been baptized,
  • if you have been baptized a Roman Catholic but have never received the other sacraments of initiation (First Eucharist or Confirmation),
  • if you have been baptized in another Christian community and you now wish to experience the doctrines and traditions of the Roman Catholic faith, or
  • if you think that you might be able to grow closer to the Lord in and through the Roman Catholic Church.

If you would like to join Guardian Angels parish, simply talk to someone after mass and you will be directed to the right person. You may also e-mail the Church office or call 334-1412.

RCIA Class of 2009

During the Easter Vigil of 2009, candidates and elect of Good Shepherd, St. Joseph's, and Guardian Angels' communities will be initiated into the Roman Catholic Church. The Elect are individuals who will be baptized before receiving Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. Candidates are Christian individuals who will receive the sacraments of Confirmation and first Holy Eucharist. Please keep them in your prayers.

    The RCIA class of 2009 gathered for a summer picnic in St. Joseph's pavilion along with their families, team members, and someone who plans to go through RCIA during this coming year. We had a fabulous experience reconnecting and celebrating this great journey of faith.
