Ministry to the Sick

Our parish, as part of a joint effort along with our neighboring parish, Good Shepherd, offers daily weekday visits to parishioners of both parishes when they are hospitalized. They will visit, pray, offer the Eucharist (when feasible) and offer pastoral care to both patients and their families. Because of restrictions imposed by the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) privacy laws, it is important for you to notify the parish office when someone that you know is hospitalized and would benefit from such a visit.

If you find yourself in the hospital, you can coordinate your sacramental needs by calling the parish at 334-1412 or by contacting the chaplin of the hospital.

Ministry to the Homebound

The Guardian Angles community comes together to visit those in our family that have been bound to their homes by disability, sickness, or any other reason. We provide support and keep those that are homebound connected with the community. During a visitation, a vistior can bring the Eucharist and pray with a homebound person.

Many hospitalized and homebound people receive knitted shawls that are carefully crafted with love and prayer by members of our prayer shawl ministry.

If you are interested in visiting the homebound, please contact Ms. Louise Carson at LCarson@dor.org.

If you are in a nursing home and would like a visit, our parish can help you get in touch with the parish community that visits your neighborhood.
