Liturgical Ministries

Liturgical ministers perform the following duties at Guardian Angeles Church. You are invited to consider prayerfully the kind of liturgical minisry that you might like to be involved in.

Cross
  • extraordinary ministers of holy communion extend their love for the sacraments as they assist the priest in the distribution of Holy Communion.

  • lectors proclaim the word of God during Sunday and weekday Liturgies.

  • altar servers are boys, girls, teens, or adults who have received first Eucharist. They assist the priest during Sunday and weekday Liturgies.

  • ushers help in the seating of people and the collection of sacrificial giving during weekend Liturgies.

  • greeters welcome all that enter Guardian Angels Church for the weekend Liturgies.

  • sacristans prepare the sanctuary for the celebration of the Eucharist at daily and weekend Liturgies.

  • childcare providers care for infants and toddlers during the 10:30 am Liturgy. Contact Colleen Joseph at 334-1412.

  • contemporary music ensemble performers enhance the celebration of the 10:30 am Liturgy on Sundays by leading our praises to the Lord with vocals and instruments. Contact John Bunce, Jr. at 334-1412

  • teachers of the children's liturgy of the word conduct the Children's Liturgy by reading and discussing the children's lectionary (in a separate room) with children ages 4–11 during part of the 10:30 am Liturgy. Contact Suzanne Stack at 334-6912
