Hola VBS family!!!!
We wanted to fill you in on this year’s Vacation Bible School
plans. Our Fiesta theme is going to be so much fun. We figured
the best way to fill you in on the details is to answer
the most frequently asked questions. If you have any more
questions please call one of us and we will do our best
to be ready with answers.
See you at Fiesta!!!!

When is Vacation Bible School this year?
VBS is July 24-28th from 8:45am – 12pm.
When can we register?
Registration will open during our Fiesta Fundraiser on April
30th at 11:15am – 1pm. Each child that registers that day
gets 3 tickets to buy one of our tasty menu items. Our plans
are tacos, chili/hotdogs, nachos, Lemon-aide, Sombrero cookies
and more. Additional tickets can be purchased for $1 each.
Everyone is invited even if they are not registering for
VBS.
How much will registration be this year?
To make things easier on us, this year there is one registration
fee. Based on feed back of families last year and other
VBS programs input, we are charging a $25 per child registration
fee. Scholarships are available. Please see one of the co-directors.
What does my registration fee pay for?
When you pay the registration fee for Holy Family’s VBS
program you get
- 1 music CD per family
- VBS T-shirt
- 5 days worth of crafts
- 5 days worth of snack
- 5 days worth of awesome fun and growth in our relationships
with Jesus
- lots of other fun surprises
What if I can’t make it to the Fiesta fundraiser?
Registration will run until all our slots are full. We do
expect to fill up fast so don’t wait too long. Have a friend
bring your registration form and fee.
You can also mail the registration form to:
Holy Family Religious Ed office 750 Union St. Leominster,
MA 01453
(Please mark outside of envelope Attn:VBS program)
No forms will be processed without registration fee paid
in full or a scholarship approval.
Checks to be made payable to Holy Family Religious Ed
How many slots for grades K-5 will you have this year?
Based on last year’s numbers and staff, we decided to cap
our program at 60 slots. We had 55 children last year. Some
have moved into Jr. Staff slots, but please register early
if you want to definitely come. The grade your child is
in during registration is the grade we count for this program.
Can my child’s friend register too?
We will not be advertising outside of Holy Family this year,
so if your child has a friend who would like to join us,
invite them to register early. All registrations are first
come first processed. No registration is accepted without
registration fee. See co-directors for scholarships if needed.
Are you having a Preschool this year?
Because the Preschool program is a separate program needing
additional space, registration for preschool is limited
to VBS staff’s children only. We are sorry but we cannot
make exceptions to this rule. Those slots are limited also.
How can I help make the VBS successful?
We are looking for Crew leaders, Craft helpers, Station
helpers and Sign in helpers. This is an easy theme to decorate
for, so at this time the only decoration setup will be Sunday
July23rd. A time will be determined. Also there will be
need for Volunteers to help set up our Bible Story rooms.
That date and time will also be determined once those leaders
start their planning.
Don’t worry about not knowing what to do. We will be setting
up mandatory trainings (TBA) to help you understand your
role and how this year’s program works. If you are interested
in being staff, please let us know by filling out our Volunteer
form.
All leaders 14 years old and up will be CORI checked by
Diocese guidelines, and dates for those who did not attend
a Diocese safety training will be distributed.
(Jr. Staff are for students who have completed grade 6 and
up.)
In addition to helping during the week, we are looking
for volunteers to come help with setting up the hall on
Friday April 28th at 6:30pm. We are hosting a Training party
for outside churches on April 29th from 9:30am – 12:30pm.
If you can help with either of these please contact Kelly
Lane.
Also we need help to run our Fiesta Fundraiser (April 30th).
There will be a meeting on
April 9th at 11:30am to plan the details of the fundraiser.
Please let us know how you can help.
(We hope are Jr. Staff will help with this fundraiser, too.
