Our parish offers Spiritual
Direction for those who wish to deepen their personal relationship with God.
One person helps another to be aware of the way God is moving in one's life
through experiences and prayer. Group Spiritual Direction is a similar process,
where four or five people meet monthly with a facilitator and, through
prayerful listening and responding to each person's journey, the group seeks to
discover God's movement in the lives of the participants. Dates and times vary.

To promote a consistent
ethic, we unite the task of protecting life to that of promoting life.
Specifically, we aim to:1) increase the parish and community awareness of
Catholic teaching regarding the sanctity of life and social and economic
justice, 2) take concrete action to protect the poor, weak, and vulnerable in
society, and 3) reclaim and advance the primacy of prayer in our lives and in
the cause for life. We meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the
Reconciliation Room.

such as West Virginia, Camden, NJ, and upstate NY. Besides service to the poor,
simplistic lifestyles are stressed and reflective prayer is included.
The scouting program is

main directive of the program is community service. Our Scouts participate in
many projects which benefit Croton in general and Holy Name of Mary Parish in
particular. Boy Scouts meet on Tuesdays 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the gym.

The church is a family, and
families are churches. This clear teaching of our faith is the foundation of
the parenting program. We believe that helping families to heal and feed one

for different grade levels.
