August 25 - HOLY FAMILY CATHEDRAL : Millennium Fête 2000

The Holy Family Cathedral Millennium Fête 2000 was celebrated with full gaeity on a bright and sunny Friday morning - August 25, 2000 in the basement hall of the Cathedral.

The fête was organized by the Coordinators and Catechists of the Cathedral and Summer Club Committee. The team was also well supported by a complement of volunteers, generous with their time and energy in organizing the entire programme.

The turnout in the hall was amazing! All were excited to try their skill at the games stalls. There were also two games of Bingo as well as prizes being given out at every opportunity.

All the usual stalls were represented, with groaning tables of bric-a-brac and flowers, including everyone’s favorite - stuffed toys! But the most popular were the food stalls which served a delicious international cuisine. The catering was done by several caterers as well as some of the well-known restaurants in Kuwait.

To the delight of all, several "Dynamite DJs" enlivened the spirit of the crowd and kept everyone on their toes right from the word 'Start'.

The fête was a total success with everyone having enjoyed themselves and carrying with them the sentiment that the Cathedral should conduct such events on a regular basis.
