Born on 13th February, 1942, at Cochin, Fr. Daniel belongs to the Carmelite Order of the Manjummel Province of India. He made his Religious Profession on 19th March, 1962. After completing his studies in Philosophy at St. Joseph’s Pontifical Seminary, Alwaye (India), he did his doctorate in Theology at Teresianum (Rome).

Fr. Daniel was ordained to the Priesthood on 13th April, 1969.

Fr. Daniel holds a Diploma in Catechetics from the East Asian Pastoral Institute, Manila (Philippines). He is specialized in the Mystical Doctrine according to St. John of the Cross at the "Centro Internacional Sanjuanista", Avila (Spain).

He had been a professor of Moral Theology at St. Joseph’s Pontifical Seminary, Alwaye (India) for 12 years as well as at St. Anthony’s National Seminary, Malawi (Africa) for another 3 years. Fr. Daniel has also worked in Delhi and Bombay. He joined the Kuwait Vicariate on 14th August, 1998. He left Kuwait in May, 2001 for his new assignment.
