Prayer for Vocations

O Holy Spirit, Spirit of wisdom and divine love, impart Your knowledge, understanding, and counsel to youth - that they may know the vocation wherein they can best serve God. Give them courage and strength to follow God's holy will. Guide their uncertain steps, strengthen their resolutions, shield their chastity, fashion their minds, conquer their hearts, and lead them to the vineyards where they will labor in God's holy service.

Rev. Fr. John Chrysostom Pulickaprambil, OCD

Birth Date :  31 May, 1940
Ordained Priest :  21 December, 1969
Joined V.O.K :  2 August, 1989
Left V.O.K :  June, 2001

Father John Chrysostom Pulickaprambil was born in Kerala, on 31st May 1940.

He entered into religious life and studied at the St. Joseph's Pontifical Seminary, in Alwaye, Kerala. He was ordained to the Priesthood on the 21st of December, 1969 in Kerala.

Initially, he served as a Press Manager and then as a Librarian in the same Seminary. After spending 6 years in Quilon Diocese, he was appointed Superior of the San Jaun Bhavan in Ernakilam, Kerala, for college-going students.

Fr. John came to Kuwait in August 1989 and was appointed as the Catechism Director and Procurator of the Holy Family Cathedral. The General Definatory appointed him as Superior of the Carmelite Mission in Kuwait. He was appointed as Parish Priest of the Church of Our Lady of Arabia, Ahmadi in 1993 and as the Vicar Delegate of the Vicariate of Kuwait.

Fr. John left Kuwait in June 2001 for his new assignment.
