Fr. Thomas was born on 7th April 1948 at Mattakkara, Kottayam, Kerala, India. He joined the OCD of the Malabar Province Trivandrum and made his first profession of religious vows on 24th April 1968. He was ordained priest on 16th May 1976 at Cochin.

In 1977, he was appointed Parish Priest of St. Mary's Church Cheranalloor in the Diocese of Ernakulam. In 1978, he was appointed Asst. Manager San Jose Process Trivandrum and Vicar Assistant of Kattakkada and Muthiyavila in the Diocese of Trivandrum.

In 1980, he was elected provincial councilor of Malabar Province. He was the Director of Deepthi Bhavan Spirituality centre Cochin and Chaplain of the Medical Trust Hospital and Parish Assistant of Vaduthala, in the Diocese of Varappuzha.

In 1987, he was the Mission Superior and the Delegate Provincial of the Malabar Carmelite Mission in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and the General Manger of Mt. Carmel Schools, as well as the Parish Priest of Hoshiarpur Church.

In 1991, He was the Superior of San Juan Ashram, Una, Himachal Pradesh, the Parish Priest of Bhakra-Nangal, Punjab. In 1994 he obtained a Diploma in Spirituality. In 1995 he was the Rector of the Minor Seminary in Ettumanoor and worked in the parishes of Changanachery and Vijayapuram Dioceses.

In 1998, he was the Superior of Avila Dhyanashram and in 2000 he was the Parish Priest of Puthur, Chittissery in the Diocese of Trichur.

In 2002, he was a member of San Juan Ashram, Potta, Chalakudy and was engaged in retreat preaching, parish ministry and a spiritual assistant to many religious institutions. In 2005 he went to Ranni to work as a pioneer to start a Monastery in the Diocese of Thiruvalla in the Malankara Rite. From there he was sent to Kuwait and joined the Vicariate on 13th May 2006.
