Bishop Camillo Ballin, MCCI,<BR> Vicar Apostolic of Kuwait

Dear Brothers and Sisters of "God's Love Community", Salmiya,

I am very happy to send you this message on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the inception of your prayer community. For 25 years, you have been meditating upon, and discovering the love of God! But you shall have realized that His love is without end, so you are not at the end of your journey with God. We have to walk with Him every day during our life and our entire lifetime is not enough to understand the love of God. I pray that you may continue in your way towards God, to continue to meditate upon His love for you and for all. I also pray for the grace to love your enemies, whoever they are, because this is a sign that your love for Him is concrete and not just in words.

I send you my best wishes and prayers and so also, ask you to pray for me so that together we shall walk towards God, the Source of true love!

God bless you!

+ Camillo Ballin, MCCI

Message from H.L. Bishop (Emeritus) Francis Micallef, OCD,
from Malta ...

Bishop Francis Micallef

Dear Members of the God’s Love Community, Salmiya Parish Charismatic Prayer Group,

I understand that you are celebrating the 25th anniversary of your beginnings as a prayer group. It was Bishop Victor Sanmiguel who had given his official recognition for the prayer group. Your beginnings coincided with my official takeover as the new Vicar Apostolic of Kuwait.

For me, this meant a new beginning in my life, as I, too, had to learn how I should be a good shepherd to the flock entrusted to my care. Thank God, I could rely on the clergy and on the lay people who at that time were very much involved in the church's activities. As I started taking my first steps to learn how to walk, I realized that I was being helped, not only by the grace of God, but also by people who had acquired experience throughout the years in the day to day running of the church's life in Kuwait, for which I am very grateful. It was the first time in my life as a religious priest that I started to become involved in the ecclesial groups and movements such as yours, that is, the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the life of the Church. I must say that this involvement had become a challenge that I had to accept so as to be able to help and encourage our Catholic faithful who were eager to grow in their knowledge and practice of our faith.

I therefore join you in thanking God for the many graces He bestowed on many people throughout these past 25 years who attended your weekly meetings, intercessions and Life in the Spirit seminars, etc.

"GOD IS LOVE". It is this mystery of God's love which has been poured into our hearts that makes us His adopted children and brothers and sisters to one another. May we continue to grow in God's love and to bring others to experience also His Merciful Love.

Congratulations and may God bless you all.

+ Francis Micallef, OCD - Emeritus of Kuwait
