Prayer is Love, the expression of our love and trust in God, to speak with God and to listen to Him ... Usually, we pray when we cannot do anymore ... but prayer must be the breathing of our spiritual life, the continuous palpitations of the heart of our soul ... and the easiest way, and the most important, is to be with God, to listen to Him, to trust in Him, to let him guide us and care for us, to let him do everything for us ...
To trust God, to have unconditional faith in Him, is the basis of love and of prayer ...
Prayer is the fine thread that moves the powerful arm of God, able to fill us with the joy, love and peace that only God can give ... "He who has God, lacks nothing, only God is enough!" said St. Teresa of Avila.
St. Paul urges us to “pray constantly” (1 Ths 5:17), but to make progress we must — first, foremost and always — set aside regular private time for personal prayer. Every spiritual master in the history of the Church has taught that holiness begins and ends in personal prayer. If we ignore personal prayer — even if we participate in public liturgies or other group prayer — we will never draw close enough to the Master. Private, personal prayer is the way we open ourselves to grace by unmasking our hidden nature and revealing our true selves to God. Truly, says Jesus Christ (Mk 9:29), “This kind can only come out through prayer.”
The message of each page of the Bible can be expressed in three words: "Trust in God" - in the Old Testament, or "Faith in Christ" - in the New Testament ... and they are the same words that summarize the message of the Divine Mercy: "Jesus, I trust in You".
