Hospitality Ministers greet the parishioners as they enter the church. By showing a kind face to all, the hospitality ministers show new-comers that Our Lady of Lourdes is a welcoming and friendly community with whom to worship. These ministers also collect the offerings and distribute the weekly bulletin.
Altar Servers assist the priest at Mass. These young believers (both male and female) serve the needs of the priest in such ways as carrying the cross, incense, holy water and candles and holding the Prayer Book.
Lectors proclaim the Word of God to the
gathered assembly. These liturgical ministers have heard their call to
"go and proclaim the
Ministers of Liturgy
of the Word for Children are
group of adults that provide the liturgy of the Word in the Chapel for children
in Kidnergarten through the Second Grade during the 10:30am Sunday
Eucharistic Ministers aid the presider by distributing
the body and blood of Christ to the gathered believers. After a training
session, the Eucharistic Ministers are ready to literally give Christ to the
people.
Sacristans prepare the physical elements
needed for the Eucharisrtic celebration.
They prepare the cloths and vessels, put out the bread and wine, and
mark the liturgical books.
Song Leaders come from within our choir.
They, along with the choir, lead the assembly in prayerful song. To learn
