Confirmation
May 5, 2009
After much deliberation by pastors and directors, an adjustment was made in our Massena Catholic Confirmation program. It was decided that 9th grade was a more opportune time in the student’s life for Confirmation. It meant that grades 9 and 10 for this year were combined. Next year 9th graders will be in the Confirmation program as we get on a new schedule.

The 38 students from Sacred Heart, St. Mary/St. Joseph and St. Lawrence parishes are shown lined up in Trinity’s cafeteria in preparation for the ceremony.

Religious education directors Sr. Edward Marie Tesiero (Sacred Heart) and Ann Borsollino (St. Mary/St. Joseph) along with confirmation teacher Paul McCarthy relax as they watch the long-awaited ceremony with Bishop Robert Cunningham take place here at Sacred Heart Church.

Moving Up Day
May 3, 2009
This is the first year our Religious Education Program has provided a "Moving Up Day" for our elementary catechism students.

Students from grades 1 through 6 bravely appear on stage before their audience of parents and relatives. Sr. Edward Marie introduced the event to parents and relatives attending and guided each grade’s presentation.

Each student had a turn in sharing one or another piece of information learned this year.
