Welcome Father Jeff Poirot!


Father Jeff Poirot is a native Texan.  He was born in Austin, TX and at the age of two he moved with his parents Jim and Peggy Poirot and his sister Pam, who is four years older than he is, to Denton, TX where his father taught at the University and his mother became a real estate agent.  Fr. Jeff went to school in Denton and was active in school sports, band, Boy Scouts, youth group at church and a number of other things.  Fr. Jeff graduated from High School and entered into college seminary at the age of 18.  He began his studies to become a priest for the Diocese of Fort Worth at the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio.  After graduating from college seminary he was sent to graduate level seminary studies in Houston at St. Maryís Seminary.  In May of 2001 Fr. Jeff was ordained to the diocesan priesthood for the Fort Worth Diocese.  He has served as an associate pastor at St. Michaelís Catholic Church in Bedford, TX and also at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton, TX.
