Vocation Search-In
We conduct search-in sessions for young ladies every second Sunday of the month in our Convents. Please get in touch with our vocation directresses via telephone or e-mail.
The minimum age requirement is, generally, below age 26. But we also give special consideration for ages 27 and older. The minimum educational requirement is to have completed high school.
The stages of formation towards a full-fledged Daughters of St. Paul include: Aspirancy, Prepostulancy, Postulancy, Novitiate and Juniorate. It takes at least four years to reach the first religious profession at the end of one's novitiate, and in juniorate, at least six years to perpetual religious profession. Altogether, it takes at least ten years.
Yes, it is indeed a long time, longer than one seeking to pursue a medical profession, for example. But this only goes to show that the task of preparing oneself for a life-long commitment of doing God's mission is not something as trivial as can be taken lightly. For it involves a rigorous formation at all levels: the human, intellectual, and most especially the spiritual level.
