We will open our spring semester with a celebration of Mary, the Mother of the Church. We will learn about the Rosary ~ its history, when we pray it, why we pray it and how to pray it. Then we will offer our gift to Mary by praying her prayer. We will also take a look at our ADVENTUREs for the coming year and you will register for the fall semester of courses.
Please bring your Rosary and the Registration Form with you!!

7th & 8th Grade Overnight Retreat - Morality: Making Choices We Can Live With Friday, January 27th (7:00 p.m.) - Saturday, January 28th (4:00 p.m.) *OR* Saturday, January 28th (7:00 p.m.) - Sunday, January 29th (4:00 p.m.) Capuchin Youth & Family Ministry Center, Garrison, NY Fee: $75.00 (registration through CYFM — Application Form)
CYFM (Capuchin Youth and Family Ministry Center) invites 7th and 8th Grade Students from all surrounding parishes to come together for a special overnight led by their retreat team and several high school peer ministers. The retreats are designed to be both catechetical and fun, with many community-building activities. Participants will make new friends and enjoy organized games and icebreakers, community meals, and active music breaks.

Tune in to “Radio,” the inspiring true story of two very different men. One who was an outcast with a dream, the other a leader who stood up for what he believed. Come watch the movie and see how together, they inspired a football team to become champions and a town to open their hearts. We’ll discuss how they embody God’s plan for our development as Christians and how our relationships enable us to become who God intended us to be.

The Stations of the Cross come alive as they did in Jesus day. What a great way to prepare for Holy Week as we walk in His path. We will share this journey on Sunday with families in our parish.

Although this is not on our regular schedule, if you’re being confirmed this year, it’s a wonderful opportunity to see Archbishop (soon to be Cardinal) Dolan bless the oils that will be used at your Confirmation and see the priests of our Archdiocese renew their vows. If you are interested in attending this Mass, please indicate this on your registration form and if there is enough interest, we may be able to get a group rate on Metro North and make the trip together.

Leading the Children, Part II Saturday, April 28th 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. St. Mary’s School Hall Fee: Free
Come lead the children who will celebrate their First Holy Communion this spring! You will help our staff lead the children through a retreat experience. They will bake bread, sing songs, make a craft, see a movie, and learn about the special “dishes” used at Mass.
Counts as: Sacramental Life - Part I presented in the fall, required for full credit.
Registration is limited to the first twelve students to apply!

Come and celebrate with our students who have successfully completed the A.D.V.E.N.T.U.R.E. Program!! We will also have some fun playing “Jeopardy” as we “review” all that we have learned this year!! AND… we’ll close our year by celebrating the 5:30 Mass together.
Just for Fun Camping Trip to Assateague Island (**must be going into 9th grade) Week-long trip in July (Date TBD) Assateague Island, Maryland Approximate Cost: $300
This is a just for fun VACATION! We will join with the Teen Group of Blessed (soon to be Saint) Kateri Tekakwitha (LaGrangeville) camping on the beach of Assateague Island, off the coast of Maryland. You may have heard of Assateague (or Chincoteague its “sister” island), famous for its wild ponies. While on vacation, we will enjoy lots of activities: swimming, volleyball, miniature-golf, rides on the boardwalk in Ocean City, biking, etc., etc. We camp in tents and do all of our activities outdoors. Everyone takes turns cooking and helping with the care of the grounds. We will have a meeting in early May for all who may be interested but let Mrs. Manuli know soon if this is a possibility for you!
