Welcome to St. Mary's Wappingers Falls Thrift Shop!
Our primary purpose and goal is to benefit the children of St. Mary’s School, grades K—8. Staffed by parent volunteers, we intend to provide a constant and substantial source of funds on a permanent basis.
We are an all-volunteer organization and appreciate your support through donations and purchases.
The shop is located off Route 9D and Convent Avenue in Wappingers Falls, N.Y. directly across from St. Mary’s School in the convent building. Entrance is located in rear of the convent building. Plenty of parking is available. Click here for directions.

We will be holding a bag sale through May 12. As many pieces of clothing as you can fit into a brown paper bag will cost only $10. We provide the bags.
We are now taking donations of furniture, but no upholstered items please.
Pews for sale: There are still a limited number of pews available for sale. For more info, call Susanne at 297-5407.
We welcome donations of all clothing that are gently used, and happily give tax deductible receipts. Thank you for your continued support! The Thrift Shop accepts donations every Tuesday and Saturday from 10-1:30 p.m.
Although we appreciate your donations, we cannot accept mattresses, undergarments or stuffed toys. Please do not leave donations on the porch. All donations should be made during shop hours Tuesdays and Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thank you for your continued support.

With the exception of upholstered furniture, we offer just about everything that is in new or excellent condition for sale. Our merchandise is carefully sorted and bargain priced so you can expect top-quality goods at discount prices: trendy clothing for children, mint household goods, current bestsellers and more. We do not sell junk!
Some of the more interesting items we have sold are: a Prada pocketbook, a new bathroom sink, a 7 ˝ foot pre-lit Christmas Tree, a fur coat and Chanel high-heels. Our offerings change on a daily basis, so make sure to check us out on a regular basis!

- Books, videos, DVDs, CDs
- Housewares
- Bulky items, like bicycles, strollers and high chairs in “like new” condition may be accepted if space allows. Please call ahead.
- Linens
Non-clothing items must be:

We do not accept the following items:
- Undergarments, socks, or swimsuits unless brand new
- Clothing with stains, rips or odors
- Large items that cannot be carried in by one person
- Shoes that are dirty, have holes or appear worn out
- Car Seats
- Stuffed animals
Clothing donations must be:
- LIMITED TO TWO PAPER GROCERY BAGS (or equivalent) PER DONATION DROP-OFF
- in excellent, “like new” condition
- current or classic fashions or vintage (early 70’s or earlier)
- without stains, tears, pilling, obvious signs of wear, or odors of any kind
Helpful but not necessary: place clothing on disposable hangers before donating them.
We are grateful to you for thinking of St. Mary’s children by making donations to the Thrift Shop, however please keep in mind:
About 80% of the donations we receive don't make it in to the shop. We have a small space, little storage, and a constant stream of donations so we can keep only those items that are in the very best condition.
We are an all-volunteer operation, and everything we don't keep must be removed by volunteers - either as trash (broken or heavily stained items, for example) or to other organizations such as Goodwill or the Salvation Army. You can help us out by looking over your donations carefully and limiting what you bring us to the best of what you have.
A small stain is still a stain. A small tear is still a tear. "Useable" doesn't always mean "saleable."
Items that have been stored in attics, basements, or garages often do not make it in to the shop - either because of odors, dirt, or because they look "tired."
One of the best ways to learn about what we accept is to visit the shop before bringing in your donations. We're always happy to answer your questions.
