The following information may help ease the transition into SJRCS.

Family Mentoring Program

The Family Mentoring Program started in 2001 as a way to connect new families to the school community by offering the support of another SJRCS family. Each new family is assigned a Family Mentor who is available throughout the year to answer questions regarding grade related topics, school-wide activities and events. Family Mentors generally have children 1 - 2 grades older than the new family in order to relay personal previous grade experiences and expectations. Only a phone call, email away, we encourage new families to utilize their assigned mentors. Please direct inquiries to Lois Powers via the office.
