Become a School Volunteer

Individuals who are interested in becoming a school volunteer must complete a Volunteer Application, which is sent in the summer mailing or can be obtained from the front office. Depending on the volunteer assignment, a volunteer may be required to undergo a background check, supply car insurance verification and/or attend volunteer specific training. For school safety purposes all volunteers and visitors must sign in when entering/leaving the school building. The school needs to know who is in the school at all times in case of fire emergency evacuation. Volunteers are also provided a volunteer hours sheet to record their volunteer time performed at home. These sheets are collected several times throughout the year.

If you completed an application and submitted it at the be beginning of the school year, a Community Council representative will contact you in September or if you volunteered for a specific event, you may receive a call before the event. Or, feel free to contact a Council Officer or Task Force Chairman directly.
