Saints Philip and James School exists not only to academically educate our children, but to educate them in the knowledge, love and experience of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

The concept of a Catholic education is based on a tradition that affirms young people best realize their potential in a safe, ordered environment surrounded by an atmosphere of love and understanding. Our principle objective is to instill the morality and spirituality that provide the basis for becoming a responsible citizen and productive member of a democratic society. What Makes Us So Special? The sense of family, safety and tradition greets you at our doors. Beyond the doors, the dedicated development of Catholic children sustains our families through the educational years.
We excel in preparing our children for communication with God’s created world. Our unique Talent Enrichment Program; world language curriculum and distance learning technology capacity are our path forward in internationally gifting our students. In May of 2002, SSPJ received an award from The Warren County Human Relations Committee in recognition of commitment and service to promoting the dignity of humankind. This honor was awarded to us for our Talent Enrichment Program. We are on a virtual, three-year journey, traveling around the world to ports of call to expand the students’ breadth of experience. The African continent and the Pacific Rim countries, through the multiple intelligences, gift each child with expanded learning through his/her personal style. Through Experiences Comes Knowledge; Through Knowledge Comes Understanding; And With Understanding Comes Compassion. World languages of French and German are enabling our children to value cultures and progress into the world of technology and business/economic venues.
Our students receive individual attention and support. We encourage children to advance moral values and spiritual virtues they learn at home and share with the human community. Religion: Information, Formation, Transformation. The religion program provides a strong foundation in the Catholic Faith. Instruction focuses on God’s plan of salvation, the Trinity and sacraments, and a Church-centered Christian community in today’s world. Catholic virtues are instilled as a way of life.
In addition to daily prayer, we gather for school-wide Mass each month.
Smaller classroom liturgies are celebrated in support of the sacraments throughout the year. Parish and community service and works of charity enable students to actively live their faith.
