Saints Philip and James participates in a Diocesan-wide counseling program
providing a certified counselor one day per week.
Areas of assistance include referrals; individual, group, or class
counseling to promote self-esteem and decision-making; communication
skills; parental guidance; and substance awareness education.
Health Services
A staff nurse is available on site during school hours, and a school doctor
is available for medical reference.
The DARE program (Drug Abuse
Resistance Education) is presented to students in grade five. The
Phillipsburg Police Department provides personnel and resources for this
timely and important program.
Discipline
In the interest of self-discipline, a system is in place where home and
school align to help students learn and live the qualities of responsible
behavior and the elements of good citizenship.
The Holy Family Library
The renovated design of our SSPJ Holy Family Library incorporates a new
early childhood center and computers for research purposes and future
Internet access.
Through much hard work and the generosity of others, our students are
privileged to enjoy a bright and friendly reading environment.
