If you are feeling stressed, or just need to talk you can call 1-800-THE-KIDS 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This number is sposoered by New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Youth and Family
Services under the auspices of the New Jersey Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect.
COMMUNITY CALENDAR
Food For the Needy: The Food Bank has empty shelves! Please bring donations to the Food Bank (or Life Choices where applicable),
SPSJ Church or SSPJ School as soon as possible to help feed the needy in our area! May’s needs are: peanut butter, spaghetti
sauce, canned vegetables, tuna fish, canned soups, canned meat, canned fruit, toothpaste, soap, laundry detergent, and deodorant. Life
Choices are in need of diapers, formula and children’s items. Thank you for your continued support!
Also, Life Choices is in need of car seats and cribs -- if you have either that you are no longer using or would like to donate
a new one, contact Life Choices at 213-6974 to arrange pick-ups or drop-offs.
All donations may be brought to the school cafeteria or Attn: Miss Dalrymple.
Bread & Roses Gala Raffle: 50/50 Raffle tickets are now available through the office. Drawing is May 9, 2008; donation is $25.00.
Please call to purchase tickets or for more information. Proceeds benefit Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Metuchen. Winner need not
be present.
SPSJ High School Youth Group is now organizing a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure on Sunday, May 18, 2008 to take part
in the New Jersey Catholic Youth Rally. Any eighth grade student that is interested in joining the SPSJ Youth Group and going on the
trip to Great Adventure should call the Church office for more details. The cost of the Great Adventure trip is $22.50 per student.
Walk 4 Life: Saturday, June 14th. Would you like to help raise funds to support families in need just by walking with
your friends? Let's put together a team of walkers from SSPJ! Watch for more info or contact Mrs. Perna.

Baseball/Softball results for the week ending in 5/4:
All of our teams saw action this week, highlights
included a win by the 7th/8th Grade Girls against Pohat and a super 4-player relay to nail a runner at Home by the 5th/6th Grade Boys
after a long hit to Center Field. Please come out to support the 100+ children playing for SPSJ Saints Baseball and Softball teams.

There are also many road games this week. Check with the teams for dates, times, and locations.
