WHAT A WONDERFUL START TO A NEW VENTURE!

Within an hour of the presentation of the Power School Parent Session on October 4th, 35 parents logged on to access their student's records. By 10:00 a.m. there were 76 log ons to view 37 student records. As of October 10th, 84 student records had been accessed 230 times. The excitement is building as word spreads - another date for a Power School Parent Session will be chosen soon. Watch the Newsletter for updates.
Thank you!

THANK YOU WAL MART!

Pohatcong Wal Mart Manager Mr. Tressler gifts Principal Sena, $1,000. check for the students of Sts. Philip & James School. Thank you Mrs. Tarsi, grandmother of one of our 8th graders, for inputting SSPJ into this wonderful Wal Mart program. "We give thee thanks Almighty God for these and all thy benefits..."

MRS. SHARKEY GOES TO COURT AGAIN!

Mrs. Sharkey went to the New Jersey Bar Association Mock Trial Workshop in New Brunswick, New Jersey at the New Jersey Law Center on October 4, 2006. Attending this workshop were teachers from public and private school. Most of the teachers in attendance remarked that they hoped to incorporate the Mock Trial experience in their gifted and talented classes. We are proud here at Saints Philip and James School that we have offered this program to our second grade students for 8 years. In so many ways God has blessed our students with many talents. Come this spring the second graders will once again experience "The Case of The Missing Puppy".

RULE #6 - "WHEN ASKED A QUESTION, ASK ONE IN RETURN."

"If someone asks, "Did you have a nice weekend?" you should answer the question and then ask a question in return. For example:
Me: "Did you have a nice weekend?"
You: "Yes, I had a great time. My family and I went shopping. What about you? Did you have a nice weekend?"
If is only polite to show others that you are just as interested in them as they are in you."
