PowerSchool Update

There is new information for parents who log on to PowerSchool! The link to reach the PowerSchool Parent logon screen has changed. The link from our website has been updated. If you cannot reach the login screen from our webpage, try refreshing our page for the newest version or go to: https://powerschool.diometuchen.org/public.
Note, the change is the 's' in 'https://'. This directs you to a more secure website.

Remember:

The deadline for wreath and poinsettia orders is Wednesday, November 21. Please get your orders in on time! Due to delivery deadlines, we cannot accept any orders after this date. Don't miss out on this opportunity, the quality is fantastic! This is NOT a fundraiser, rather a service we offer to our families every year. As always, thank you for supporting your HSA! If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Cicalese.

SSPJ Student Authors

As you may know, the students in grades Kindergarten through eighth grade are involved in an exciting project by writing and illustrating a book. The overall theme of these books has been taken from our enrichment program, "Sailing the Waters of Hope." In this creative writing project, the students integrate their language arts skills with the knowledge they have gained from our enrichment program.
This project allows the students to improve their writing skills, as they learn what it takes to be an author. All students will be able to keep their own completed book, free of charge. Parents will also have the opportunity to purchase additional copies of their child's books, which may be used for gifts for family members or close friends.
Look for the order forms, which will be sent home soon by your child's teacher. If you would like to order reprints of the book, simply fill out the order form and return it to your child's teacher with payment. However, there is no obligation to purchase additional books. If you would rather not have an additional copy, please check the box that says, 'No,' sign your name, and return the form back to school.
The faculty and staff of SPSJ are very proud of our student authors and congratulate them on their hard work and dedication to the writing process!

The Harlem Wizards are coming!

Bring everyone to this high energy, exciting and full participation event!
On November 28 from 7-8 PM in the Gym, the Harlem Wizards will be showing off their basketball skills while having fun with the audience to create a spell-binding performance that is fun and exciting for all ages! The cost is $2 for children over 3 and $3 for adults. Please return the form in your packet with payment (payable to SSPJ-HSA) to the HSA mailbox no later than November 21st.

New this year - Family Unsnowman Building Contest:
This year we will be holding an Unsnowman building contest as part of Breakfast with Santa. Families can enter the Unsnowman building contest by constructing a freestandingUnsnowman of no more than 48" in height. It can be made of anything with the exception of snow. Entries for the Unsnowman contest are to be dropped off at the school cafeteria between 7 and 9 PM Friday, November 30. Judging will take place that evening and the winners will be announced at 9:30 the morning of the event. Still Looking for decorations that need a home:
If you have any Christmas decorations that you have found are no longer a perfect fit for your home, we want them! If you have any items that you would like to donate, please place them in the ornament donation box outside the cafeteria during drop-off or pick-up. If you would prefer that we pick them up from you, just give Mr. & Mrs. Morris a call or email.
Still looking for volunteers:
We are still looking for Breakfast with Santa volunteers! We will be finalizing assignments and sending out instructions the week of November 19. If you would like to volunteer please contact Mr. & Mrs. Morris by phone or email. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
