Chess Club Has Begun!

Where can you check another player without it physically hurting? Chess Club, of course!
Last Friday was the Chess Club's first general meeting! Both new club members as well as returning members recalled all the peices and their movements. There was castling, checking, plotting, sneak attacks, and even an 'en passant' or two. And it all began and ended with a handshake. The students has a great time and are looking forward to next Friday.
Reminder to all members: I need a note from a parent stating that you can attend Chess Club after school. This note is kept on file.
If you would like to be a part of this year's Chess Club, just have your parent send in a note to me, Miss Graham, and come join us! All students in grades 2 through 8 are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there!
