CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA
Advent brings the expectation of the Birth of Christ and the anticipation of our Christmas Show. Remember to mark your calendar and invite family and friends to the SSPJ Christmas Show, Friday, December 15th--CHILDREN ARE TO REPORT TO THEIR TEACHER ONE HALF HOUR BEFORE THE SHOW BEGINS.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO PICK UP YOUR GERTRUDE HAWK ORDER. ALL ORDERS ARE IN THE CAFETERIA. Your order can be picked up after school. Remember, school is closed on Friday, so orders must be taken by Thursday, December 7th. Thank You!
HOLY CHILDHOOD MISSION APPEAL
The season of Advent is upon us. As we prepare to celebrate the blessed
day of Christ's birth, we wait, we hope, and we trust. Today others hope and trust for help from afar.
Our children have the opportunity to participate in the Holy Childhood Association Mission Appeal. The Mission boxes that have been sent home
allow your child to focus on a result that is needed for many deprived children - change. Even though their contributions may seem small,
please encourage them to understand that they do add up to real hope for those who wait in desperation around the world.
Open your hearts. Your prayers, sacrifices and offerings 'bring glad tidings to the poor.'
We ask that the containers not be returned to school until January (after the Christmas holiday).
Bless you for all you do and have a prayerful Advent.
Interested in Fundraising?
The HSA Exewcutive Board is looking for someone who is interested in assisting our Fundraising Chairperson this year with fundraising so that person can then take over the position next year. This is a great opportunity to be involved this year and learn all about our fundraising activities firsthand before taking over the position next year. If interested, please contact Mr. or Mrs. Hilliard.
Coordinator for Parent Advocacy
A new coordinator position has been added to the HSA by the Diocese. We are surrently seeking someone to be the Coordinator for Parent Advocacy for the New Jersey Network of Catholic School Families. The role of this coordinator is to be the liason between the Network and our school so that we can notify our families about important issues in the New Jersey legislature that affect our children and Catholic schools. If you would be interested in this position, please contact Mr. or Mrs. Hilliard.
