SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS THANK YOU
The H.S.A. Executive Board would like to thank Mr. Morris, his family,
his entire committee and all that helped make the Spirit of Christmas such a great success. We thank you for all your time and fabulous
support.
Thanks to all Who Helped Make Breakfast With Santa a Huge Success!
This year's Breakfast with Santa was a great deal of fun for the more
than 400 who attended. The new twists this year worked well with the traditions established in years past. However, without the help of a
small army of volunteers and the school administration, we could not have pulled this off. While there are many people to thank individually,
I would like to recognize some of the extraordinary efforts put forth:
- Thank you to the school administration for remaining flexible and doing everything possible to support the event. Without that support
there would be no Breakfast with Santa.
- Thank you to all of the teachers and atudents for the wonderful posters and ornaments we used to decorate the cafeteria. They were simply
outstanding!!
- Thank you to all who volunteered, especially: Mrs. Caprio and Mrs. Armagno who set-up Santa's workshop; the 20 who spent two hours decorating
the cafeteria; the event team leaders - Mrs. Caprio, Mrs. Socci, Mrs. Sutton, Mrs. Morris, and Mr. Firth; the 12 7th & 8th grade students that
helped with the Workshop, Children's Activities, Photos, and Clean-Up.
- Thank you to Mrs. Thomas and the Choir for perfoming songs that really added to the Christmas Spirit!
- Thanks to Mrs. Shiraldi for help ordeing the food and making the experience in the kitchen and service area pleasant.
- Thank you to the custodial staff for making it possible for us to set up and run the event. Your flexibility and willingness to help were
greatly appreciated!!
- Thanks to Mrs. Opdycke who, once again, allowed us to turn the Library upside-down to be used as Santa's Workshop.
- Thank you to Santa for taking the time out of his busy schedule to pay us a visit. He really made the day special!
I would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Caprio for allowing me to draw upon her experience as the previous Breakfast with Santa
Coordinator. The foundation she laid made coordinating this year's event infinitely simpler.
-Mr. Morris
RULE #30
"AFTER EATING, WE CLEAN UP AFTER OURSELVES. THIS INCLUDES THE TABLE, THE FLOOR AND EATING AREA."
Make sure when children leave the table, we leave the table exactly as we found it.
We pick up all of the trash and make sure there is no stray paper around the trash cans. Whether they are home, at McDonald's, or any
restaurant or eating establishment, children should leave their tables clean. -Ron Clark-
BARNES & NOBLE FUNDRAISER
If you would like your 10% fundraising credit from Barnes & Noble, please submit a copy
of your receipt to Mrs. Lamberti, c/o Grade 6, by December 22nd. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Lamberti. Thank you.
SSPJ "COATS OF MANY COLORS" COAT COLLECTION
As you are looking through last year's Christmas decorations, you may come
across a gently used or even an unworn coat or two. If so, please consider donating it to the SSPJ "Coats of Many Colors" Coat Collection.
Tirpok Cleaners has graciously offered to clean all donated coats, free of charge, and redirect them to those who need them
this winter. Coats are being collected in the SSPJ cafeteria beginning December 13 and continuing through December 21. What a wonderful way
to extend the warmth of this season to someone in need. God bless you. Mrs. Frasca
