HOLIEST OF NIGHTS

Were you there on that night long ago,
When a child was born for the world to know?
He was born in a manger humble and low,
And the angels looked down with a heavenly glow.
Mary and Joseph watched their babe in a manger.
The joy that they felt went beyond all measure,
The world was given an ultimate treasure.
From lands afar the wisemen came,
Bearing gifts to His glorious name.
The animals were stilled on that silent night,
And all with the world was beautifully right.
God looked down from His heavenly throne,
His heavenly love has grown and grown.
A choir of angels sang "Peace on Earth",
And to this day we praise His Birth.
The hope, the joy, the faith and love,
Came from that child and God above.

THE FACULTY AND STAFF OF STS. PHILIP & JAMES SCHOOL WISH ALL OUR FAMILIES A BEAUTIFUL AND BLESSED CHRISTMAS.

GYM ATTIRE

Due to the fact that the children will be sitting on the gym floor on both Thursday and Friday for Advent services, the children have the option of wearing their gym uniforms.

Fundraising News

I would like to congratulate all who participated in the Innisbrook fundraiser, especially the families of our top 3 sellers and 6 bonus drawing winners!
Our totals to the school for each fundraiser are:
Innisbrook: $5,544.00
and
Gertrude Hawk Chocolates: $2, 678.60
Thank you to everyone who participated in these fundraisers. Without your continued support we could not have had such great success.
Just a reminder for 2007, our fundraising sales will be Joe Corbi Pizza (Jan. 3), Gertrude Hawk Chocolates (Feb. 17), and Piazza Farms flowers (Spring - TBA).
A very Merry Christmas to each of our families and a Healthy and Happy New Year.
Mrs. Halm

RULE #35

"IN SCHOOL, AT HOME OR OUT WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY, IF SOMEONE DROPS SOMETHING NEAR YOU, YOU SHOULD PICK IT UP AND HAND IT BACK. IT IS POLITE TO MAKE THE GESTURE OF BENDING DOWN TO RETRIEVE THE ITEM."
"Teach children kindness and basic skills. It is a polite gesture if someone drops something to pick it up and hand it back to them."
-RON CLARK-

ATTENTION LUNCH DUTY PARENTS

We appreciate all of you who dedicate your time to come and help with lunch duty. But, please keep in mind if you volunteer, make sure you show for your scheduled time or find a substitute so as not to burden the others who are volunteering with you that day. Thank You!

SSPJ "COATS OF MANY COLORS" COAT COLLECTION

Reminder: Please consider donating it to the SSPJ "Coats of Many Colors" Coat Collection. Tirpok Cleaners has graciously offered to clean all donated coats, free of charge, and redirect them to those who need them this winter. Coats are being collected in the SSPJ cafeteria through December 21. What a wonderful way to extend the warmth of this season to someone in need. God bless you. Mrs. Frasca
