CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK IS COMING!
We will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week January 27 through February 2.
The slogan for Catholic Schools Week is: Catholic Schools - Light the Way
Please see the schedule of events in your weekly packet.
"Catholic Schools - Light the Way" is the slogan for Catholic Schools Week 2008!
In anticipation of Catholic Schools Week, January 27 - February 2, please find the calendar of events we have planned for our
children and families in your weekly packet.
Some explinations: Wacky Hair Day - The children may wear their hair in any style. Hair spray or gel to assist in unusual hair styles are permitted at
your discretion. Please apply all product at home and do not allow product to come to school. Please no color products
such as sprays or gelatin, since it is our experience that they do not wash out easily. Wigs, extensions, pixie hair attachments, etc.
are acceptable that day. We want the children to have a fun, safe experience while they express themselves artistically through their
hair style. Spelling Bees - Advance bees are being conducted in each classroom to attain contestants who will compete in the auditorium during
this special week. Grades 4-8 attend the Easton Express sponsored contest in the AM. All the students attend the Grade 1-4 contest in
the PM. Parent Visitations - On these two days we invite you to sit in your child's classroom to enjoy one lesson for the day.
Please remain for only one class so that there is enough space for all the parents without overcrowding the room. We will ask
the teachers to send home a schedule so you can plan your visit.
Included in the schedule there will be times listed as lunch periods. During the lunch periods, we ask that there are no visitations.
Please note that once again this year, we will have "Let's Do Lunch" during Valentine's week. This is when we invite you to join your child
for lunch in our cafeteria. Turn Around Day - The 8th graders have the opportunity to teach a class with the regular teacher as a guide in the room.
The 8th graders will be meeting with the teacher prior to this day to receive the plan for the potential lesson.
