Pope Benedict XVI's Visit

Our Pre-Kindergarten Assistant, Mrs. Hillhouse had the honor of attending Mass at Yankee Stadium on Sunday to celebrate Mass with the Pope. "There was a sense of love and excitement, the people were proud to be with the Pope, and Catholic spirit poured out so much love to the Pope. The day started gloomy, but when the Pope arrived, the sun shone. People from every Diocese were represented at the stadium." Mrs. Hillhouse feels so blessed to have gone and felt it was a once in a lifetime memory. She said she thought and prayed for everyone at Sts. Philip and James School. "What a wonderful experience," she said she never felt closer to God. God Bless Mrs. Hillhouse.

Honoring Brendan With Gifts of Words

In the Express-Times New Jersey Edition on Monday, April 21st, there was a beautiful article about the Scholastic/Brendan books. I thank Andrea Eilenberger for doing a wonderful job, not just about the books in Brendan's honor, but about the blessings of our school. It is true, God is always with you through the ups and downs of life. But prayer and faith allow you to thank God for your blessings -- you are my blessings.

Thank you!
