FUNDRAISING NEWS

Last week our Family Fundraising totals were sent home. It represents money earned against your $800.00 that was paid in the beginning of the school year. Each time you purchase Scrip, participate in a fundraiser (i.e., wrapping paper, Gertrude Hawk, etc.), or purchase Market Day products during the year, monies (profit) earned from that sale will go against each individual family fundraising total. During the school year a report is sent home to keep you informed about what has been earned against that amount for each family. Our school fundraising year is from June 1st to May 31st. On June 6th a year to date total for the entire year (2006-2007) will be sent home again to each family. At that time you will have a choice to "rollover" your monies for the 2007-2008 school year, request a check to you, or donate your monies earned. This information is sent home confidentially to each family.
Example Family "A"$800.00 (given in beginning of school year)
Wrapping Paper Fundraiser150.00 earned
Market Day (Year total)50.00 earned
Gertrude Hawk15.00 earned
Scrip125.00 earned
Total:$340.00 earned
A total of $340.00 was earned against the $800.00. Those monies are credited back to your family. These are just opportunities for you to earn that money back to each family. If you do not want to participate in those options that is fine. We are just giving you choices to help each family earn money back.
If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Halm for Fundraising totals, or Mrs. Bruckman for Scrip totals.
This week the Piazza Farms receipts came home with your child. If you did not receive them or have a question about them, please call Mrs. Halm.

Dear Parents

Each year at our Eighth Grade Graduation, gifts of $50 or $100 are awarded graduates based upon merit. Some groups (HSA, Holy Name, Knights of Columbus, etc.) award gifts that are determined by the faculty and administration, but individuals may also assist a graduate.
For example, a gift in memory of a mother:
"Gift of Mr. John Jones in memory of Elizabeth Ann Jones."
If you wish to have a gift awarded at graduation, please complete the bottom portion of [the form in your packet] and return to my attention by May 16. Checks may be made payable to Saints Philip and James School.
Thank you for your support of a graduating student.
Sincerely,
Irene D. Sena
Principal
