School World Languages!
At Saints Philip and James
School, we have a wonderful language program taught by Ms. Spence. She is instructing grades K
through 5 and Beginner and Continuing Spanish Electives.
The Spanish Elective provides a foundation for the advanced study of the Spanish language through listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
Students build a working vocabulary, learn correct syntax and grammar, engage in conversational dialogs and translate short passages.
Studying geography, history, and the Hispanic influence on music, food, and dance enhances the learning experience for visual, auditory,
and kinesthetic learners. Structural elements of the Spanish language are first explained and then illustrated in a series of hands-on activities.
