Saint Patrick Parish Automobile Insurance Coverage for Ministry Volunteers

  • If volunteers are injured while performing their ministry duties per the role description-the volunteers' own insurance becomes the primary coverage. The Archdiocese carries excess insurance that can be activated if the volunteers' personal health insurance is exhausted.

  • Volunteers who, in the course of their service, may cause an injury to the person to whom they minister are included as ģinsuredsē under the Archdiocese of Boston General Liability Insurance Policy. The policy will defend the volunteer as long as there is not an intentional criminal act. This means that the assets of the volunteer are not jeopardized in the event an action is brought against him or her.
