Ministry Of Ushers

Ushers ensure a welcoming presence and orderly seating to all those coming to worship at week-end Masses and Holy Days of Obligation as well as other Masses offered throughout the Liturgical year, such as Ash Wednesday, Holy Week Services as well as First Holy Communion and Confirmation Services.
Ushers also take up the weekly collection, arrange for worshipers to participate in the offertory procession, attend to medical needs of the worshipers if necessary, disseminate the weekly Bulletin and assist in the clean-up of the Church after their assigned Mass.
Members of this Ministry should reflect the diversity of the parish community, thus men and women of various ages, social and ethnic backgrounds, married and single alike are invited to join this Ministry.
If you have a pleasant personality and a welcoming nature, an interest in people and are able to accept people as they are and have a sense of the beauty of the Mass, wonąt you consider joining this Ministry? Ushers are asked to assist at one (1) of the week-end Masses at least and when possible to assist at other Masses during the course of the year, for example, the Holy Week Services or the First Communion Masses.
If you cannot commit to a regular schedule but would consider being a back-up in cases of illness or vacations, we can use you!
We have a need for additional ushers at every Mass.......You are encouraged to contact Joan Kilday Puleo, Coordinator of Lay Ministry at 781-438-2498 to further discuss this Ministry.
