Parish Pastoral Visitor to the Sick and the Homebound
Parish pastoral visitors provide friendly visits and /or offer Eucharist on a regular basis serving as a vital pastoral connection to the sick and the homebound of the parish living in their own homes or in the various nursing and congregate living centers within the parish boundaries.. Volunteers are needed to visit and /or bring Communion, on a regular schedule, in particular to the Life Care Center, as well as to people in their own homes or apartments.
If you are a person of faith who is dependable, people oriented, comfortable with the sick, the disabled and /or the elderly, empathic, compassionate and able to listen, then this is the ministry for you! Perhaps you are looking to do something as a family...You might like to ³adopt² a homebound person and provide visiting, maybe occasional meals, food shopping or maybe shoveling in inclement weather???
A font class="pageTextBolf">minimum commitment of one (1) hour a month is required, but 2 to 4 hours a month is more realistic. If you cannot commit to a regular schedule but would like to consider leading a Rosary Group or be a back-up to regular visitors in case of illness or vacations, we can use you! The needs are many, ...how could you help.............?
