Christmas choir


Seasonal Choir (Christmas, Easter, Confirmation):
The Seasonal Choir is a 4 part choir of all ages (junior high, high school, and adults).  All styles of sacred music are sung (traditional to contemporary).  This choir sings for special seasonal liturgies such as Christmas, Easter, and Confirmation.  Instrumentation for this group will range from organ and piano and sometimes will include woodwinds, brass, percussion, guitar, etc.  Please see the Music Rehearsal Schedule page for the current rehearsal schedule
   
Rehearsals:  Generally Thursdays from 7 pm to 9 pm (in main worship space or chapel) during Advent and Lent.  Director is Mary Freund-Braun.

Contemporary Combo:
This music group is made up of high school, college students and adults.  Rehearsals are usually on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm except during Advent and Lent.  This group will lead the music at the monthly Youth Mass at 8:30 am the monthly Wednesday evening Mass for the youth and one or two 11:15 liturgies a month..  All styles of music are sung by this group, with an emphasis on contemporary.  Instrumentation is guitar, piano, percussion and woodwinds.  Call director, Mary Freund-Braun, for more information.  Please see the Music Rehearsal Schedule page for the current rehearsal schedule.

Women's Ensemble:
This group consists of women (high school & adults) sings SA or SSA parts.  This ensemble will lead the music two to three times a month.  They will sing at an 8:30 Sunday Mass once a month and will rotate between the 11:15 Sunday and 5:00 Saturday liturgies.  Rehearsals are usually on Thursdays at 7:00 pm in the church or chapel.  An exception to this schedule is during Advent and Lent.  Rehearsals will be TBA (to be arranged).  Call director, Mary Freund-Braun, for more information.  Please see the Music Rehearsal Schedule page for the current rehearsal schedule.

Childrens Choir:
 This group consists of children in grades 2-6.  Rehearsals are on Thursday afternoons from 4-5 pm in Meeting Room A of the parish hall.  They will sing at the 8:30 am Youth Mass once a month and at special Masses.  Call director, Mary Freund-Braun, for more information.  Please see the Music Rehearsal Schedule page for the current rehearsal schedule.

Youth Mass Musicians:
Youth Mass Musicians are junior high through high school musicians who rehearse once a month on Wednesday evening and lead the worship for the monthly Youth Mass on the second Sunday of each month.  The musicians also lead the music at the monthly Music, Mass and Meal one Wednesday evening per month.  Call director, Mary Freund-Braun, for more information.  Please see the Music Rehearsal Schedule page for the current rehearsal schedule.

Cantor Ministry:
Willing singers are invited to this ministry.  The primary responsibility is to lead the music at our weekend liturgies.  Training is provided with the music director.  Weekly rehearsals are 1/2 hour before Mass.  All other rehearsals can be arranged privately with the music director or accompanist.  A special meeting for cantors could be required.  Call Mary Freund-Braun, music director, for more information.
 
Accompanists:
If you play the piano, organ or keyboards, you are invited to accompany our liturgies.  A certain proficiency is expected.  The primary responsibility is to lead the music for the weekend liturgies.  There is the opportunity to accompany cantors, ensembles, choir, liturgies and/or rehearsals.  Additional rehearsals are arranged privately with the music director.  Call Mary Freund-Braun, music director, for more information.
 
Instrumentalists:
All instrumentalists are invited to play and/or accompany at the music liturgies.  We welcome brass, woodwinds, strings, percussion, bass guitar, guitar, keyboards and even special instrumentation such as harmonica, bagpipes, native flute, etc.  Call the music director, Mary Freund-Braun, for more information.
