Welcome to St. Bede Parish. We are delighted to have you join us on the journey to the Kingdom of God.

This parish was founded in 1922 and lives on today, with God's grace and the vibrancy of is members. We gather in faith at the altar of God on the Lord's day as well as on weekdays. We celebrate the sacraments, our encounter with Jesus, at moments in our life defined by tradition, piety, and necessity.

To be a disciple of Jesus is to be a student. Much of our energy is expended in the education enterprise. In addition to our very fine grade school, we conduct a Sunday School of Religion to provide catechetical instruction to our children. In this first Millennium Year we continue our efforts toward engaging our high school members in faith formation.  Adult education takes a variety of forms, the most creative and effective of which invariably grow out of the grace filled suggestions of members.

It doesn't take long to see what the people of this parish have built over the years by way of a "plant." Within ninety days of the founding of the parish the Schoyer mansion and an adjoining lot were acquired and a wooden temporary church was put on the Willard Street lawn. School and permanent church followed in 1925 and 1950 respectively. We concluded the twentieth century with the construction of our Activities Building. We live our community of faith life here on this site with joy and hope.
