Red ballpoint pen or red pencil for correcting
work; No. 2 lead pencils with erasers; loose-leafpaper; notebook; assignment
notebook; folder; ruler
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Students will be expected to:
1. Correctly pronounce, spell, and
define given social studies terms.
2. Read and study assigned textbook material.
3. Do independent home study in preparation
for both announced and unannounced quizzes, chapter tests, and unit tests.
4. Be informed of current events by means
of reading the newspaper and/or news magazines in addition to watching
and listening to news broadcasts.
5. Research given topics using the resources
of the home, the school library, and the public library and to compile
the results of research into an oral or written report according to instructions.
6. Keep a notebook that includes class notes,
assignments, and other work as directed. Notebooks should be written in
students' best handwriting and be free of doodles, drawings. etc. This
is necessary so that the teacher will be able to read and correct students'
work.
7. Make up assignments, quizzes, and tests
that are missed due to absence from class.
8. Turn in assignments and projects on time.
