Parish Mission Statement

St. Bonaventure Parish, established in 1950 as a small rural community of Catholics serving the southern villages of Plymouth, continues to experience tremendous growth and development. We encompass approximately 75 square miles and number in excess of 2300 families and about 8000 members. Our parish has great diversity in age, from retirees to young families. Our mission church, St. Catherine Chapel at White Horse Beach, is open for the summer months to serve our community as we welcome those who call the parish home in the summer season.

Our parish is a vibrant, caring community of faith which encourages creativity and cooperation among members. We are committed to celebrating and furthering the message of Jesus Christ in word and sacrament, in our religious and spiritual development, in our outreach to those in need, and in the Christian witness of our lives. We foster lay leadership to help carry out this mission in collaboration with our parish pastoral staff, our area cluster parishes, and the Archdiocese of Boston.
