Welcome to your home; welcome to St. Francis of Assisi
The People of St. Francis Welcome You!
The Eucharistic Adoration Chapel of the Immaculate Conception
"Come to Me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will refresh you. Take My yoke upon your shoulders, and learn from Me;
for I am gentle and humble of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." (Mt 11:28-30).
The Eucharistic Adoration Chapel of the Immaculate Conception is located in the Rev. John Nacca hall, behind St. Francis. As the name
implies, the chapel is entrusted to Mary under the title of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. Eucharistic Adoration should be a very
important part of a Catholic's daily life. The Second Vatican Council says, "Remaining closely united to Christ, they [the faithful]
enjoy intimate familiarity with Him and offer heart-felt prayer to Him for themselves, for all those dear to them, for peace and for the
salvation of the world." (Sacrosanctum Concilium). You are encouraged to visit our chapel frequently; you will receive graces
beyond your imagining, for you, your family, and for all those who are close to you. Also, please consider singing up for one hour a week
to spend with Jesus, or maybe as a substitute, in case another scheduled Adorer cannot make their hour. If you wish to sign up, please call
MaryAnn at 364-8778, or Lee at the rectory office at 252-7593.
Chapel Hours
Monday through Friday
8 AM to 5 PM
"The Church and the world have a great need of Eucharistic worship."
"Let us be generous with our time in going to meet Him...May our adoration never cease."
Pope John Paul II, Dominicae Cenae
"Beneath the appearance of the species, Christ is contained, the invisible Head of the Church, the redeemer of the World, the Center of all hearts.
From this it follows that the worship paid to the Divine eucharist strongly impels the soul to cultivate a 'social' love."
Pope Paul VI, Mysterium Fidei
If Jesus were actually visible in the Church, everyone would run to welcome Him. He remains hidden in the Sacred Host, under the appearance of bread, because He is calling us to faith. Let us act upon this faith and visit Him frequently in Eucharistic Adoration.
Prayer to Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament
Virgin Immaculate, perfect lover of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, we ask you to obtain for us the graces we need to become true adorers of our Eucharistic God. Grant us, we beg of you, to know Him better, to love Him more, and to center our lives around the Eucharist, that is, to make our whole life a constant prayer of adoration, thanksgiving, reparation, and petition to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Amen.
V. Pray for us, O Virgin Immaculate, Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
R. That the Eucharistic Kingdom of Jesus Christ may come among us!
